ImgBurn is a lightweight CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application that is a must-have in everyone's toolkit!
It has several 'modes', each with a single function:
Read - Read the disk in the image file
Create - Create an image file from files on your computer or network - or you can write files directly to disk
Write - Write the image file to disk
Verify - Check that the disk is 100% readable. Alternatively, you can compare ImgBurn to a given image file to make sure the actual data is correct.
Discovery - Test your drive / media! Used in conjunction with DVDInfoPro, you can check the quality of burns produced by your drive
ImgBurn supports a wide range of image file formats - including BIN, CCD, CDI, CUE, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI.
It can burn audio CDs from any file type with DirectShow / ACM support, including AAC, APE, FLAC, M4A, MP3, MP4, MPC, OGG, PCM, WAV, WMA and WV.
You can use it to easily create DVD video discs (from the VIDEO_TS folder), HD DVD video discs (from the HVDVD_TS folder) and Blu-ray video discs (from the BDAV / BDMV folder).
It supports Unicode folder / file names, so you should have no problem using the international character set.

If you use wine, it will run on Linux and other x86-based Unixes as well.
It is a very convenient application with many advanced features that other tools often do not have, especially when burning DVD video discs. It supports all the latest drives without the need for updates (including book type / bit setting / advanced settings - such as BenQ, LiteOn, LG, NEC, Optiarch, Pioneer, Plextor, Samsung, Sony).
There is also a layer break option screen that makes it easy to use when you burn multiple images (you can automatically share between multiple drives) and for double layer DVD video jobs. The automatic write speed feature allows you to store your preferred burn speed settings from drive level to drive based on 'Media ID'. Data captured during burn (writing speed, buffer level, etc.) is displayed / analyzed using DVDInfoPro.
Although ImgBurn is designed to work completely out of the box, sophisticated users will appreciate how well it is configured.
Oh and don't forget the good things about it .... it's 100% free ;-)
